In the UK, funeral homes cannot legally refuse to use a coffin you have purchased elsewhere. You are free to source your own coffin, and the funeral director is obligated to accommodate your choice. They also cannot charge a "corkage" fee for using your own coffin.

• Legality: There's no legal requirement to purchase a coffin from the funeral director. You can buy it online, from any, another supplier, or even make it yourself. 

In short, you have the freedom to purchase your own coffin and use it with the funeral home of your choice.
